Union Hotel - Penzance

Absolutely perfect and nice location and attentive staff!

Recently refurbished good budget hotel, particularly nice views of the sea. Spacious room, comfortable bed and fairly clean bathroom🙂

We had a really lovely time in this cheap hotel in Penzance. The property room was exceptionally clean and huge with coffee, a good view and wonderful views. Thoroughly enjoyed the downstairs bar.

The downtown is within 5 minutes' walk.

Chapel Street's central location offers easy access to the harbor and nearby historic pubs. The building's age adds character.

The staircase and corridors could use some serious upkeep. The railings felt wobbly, and navigating the steps can be a puzzler without clear signs. My room had no shower, just a rather uninspiring bath, and the old cupboard was a letdown. The absence of a light shade made the room dimmer than I liked, and good luck trying to open those windows-stuck tight. Some amenities, like the table space in the bathroom for toiletries, were noticeably lacking. The internet situation was also a hassle. It barely worked outside a few pockets, leaving me hunting for Wi-Fi elsewhere. It had its quirks, and while I appreciated the history, a touch more maintenance wouldn't hurt.

We enjoyed the stay, it was a very lovely experience. The breakfast was enormous with plenty of brilliant options. The room was beautiful and fine, included an electric kettle, central heating, iron and ironing board....

The central location made it so easy to stroll to attractions like Penlee Park, and I loved the quick access to the bustling Chapel Street, right around the corner. While the room offered great sea views, it could use a bit of upkeep to match the beautiful surroundings a bit better.

Consider dining at the bar area. it has a lively atmosphere without the issues of the main breakfast room.

Had an amazing view of the harbour from my room, which really brightened my stay! 😊 But the shower water temperature kept fluctuating, which was a bit annoying.
